Mud & Dust
Buildup can obscure the code and repeated cleaning can affect exposed edges.
01 Excavator Identification
TAGRION provides serialized aluminum QR tags specified for excavators operating in outdoor, dirty and industrial environments. Tags can combine a unique QR code, unique asset ID and Excel or CSV fleet data with adhesive-backed or two-hole mounting options.
Product render / concept image. Final construction and mounting location follow the approved project specification.
02 Direct Answer
An excavator QR tag is a physical machine identifier that connects one excavator to a selected asset record, inspection page, service history, rental workflow or other digital destination.
The physical tag and the digital record serve different roles. The tag provides the scan point and human-readable ID; the customer's chosen system holds the equipment information behind it.
03 Excavator Conditions
The operating environment affects plate construction, mounting, placement and the validation plan.
Buildup can obscure the code and repeated cleaning can affect exposed edges.
Fluid paths, splash frequency and cleaning method should be documented.
Orientation, climate and expected service period belong in the project review.
Substrate, fastener choice, clearance and machine movement affect mounting.
Spray direction, distance, pressure, temperature and placement matter.
Tags should avoid debris strike zones, pinch points and moving joints.
These are design and validation considerations. They are not statements that a selected tag has already passed every condition.
04 Recommended Starting Point
Choose the starting configuration from the actual surface, drilling permission and service conditions.
50 × 25 mm, 0.5 mm black matte anodized aluminum, genuine 3M 467MP or 468MP, no holes.
50 × 25 mm, 1.0 mm black matte anodized aluminum with two mounting holes.
Unique QR code, unique asset ID and one-to-one mapping from Excel or CSV.

05 Placement Review
A protected position is only useful if the code remains visible and accessible for scanning.
Send Excavator Photos| Location factor | Review question | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Scan access | Can a person safely see and scan the tag? | A physically intact tag is not useful if access is blocked. |
| Articulation | Is the area away from moving joints, pinch points and flexing panels? | Movement can damage the tag or create a safety concern. |
| Impact | Is it outside direct bucket, debris, tool and boot contact zones? | Placement can reduce unnecessary mechanical damage. |
| Heat | Is it separated from exhaust and other high-temperature areas? | Temperature affects construction and mounting choices. |
| Fluid path | Does diesel, hydraulic oil or cleaner regularly run across the location? | Direct contact and bond-line exposure should be understood. |
| Washing | Will the edge face repeated close-range pressure washing? | Wash direction and distance belong in the placement review. |
Final installation responsibility and drilling approval remain with the equipment owner or qualified installer.
06 Adhesive vs Two-Hole
The machine model alone does not decide the fixing method. Surface material, paint, curvature, contamination, vibration and access all matter.
Clean, smooth, compatible surface with sufficient flat area and no drilling preference.
Oil, dust, coatings and temperature can affect installation; follow the approved process.
Approved drilling or existing fixing points and a preference for mechanical retention.
Fastener material, diameter, grip range, clearance and substrate require confirmation.
A flat tag may not suit tight curvature without a revised location or construction.
Confirm drilling, electrical, hydraulic and structural risks before mechanical fixing.
07 Fleet Data
Use an approved asset list so the visible ID and QR destination remain aligned.
Asset ID, serial, model, location and QR destination as required.
Confirm visible fields, QR content and fixed text.
Check different ID lengths and destination patterns.
Identify the exact source version used for production.
08 Quote Inputs
Number of tags, excavator types and whether other fleet assets are included.
Overall machine, close-up surfaces, available dimensions and nearby components.
Mud, dust, fluids, outdoor exposure, vibration, impact and temperature.
Pressure washing, cleaners, wiping, frequency and temperature.
Adhesive-backed, two-hole or undecided.
Asset IDs, QR destinations and other approved variable fields.
09 Questions & Answers
It can point to a customer-selected asset record, inspection page, service history, parts information, rental workflow or another approved destination.
Choose a visible, scannable area with clearance that avoids articulation, pinch points, direct impact, high heat, persistent fluid paths and unnecessary wash exposure.
Adhesive can be considered for selected smooth, clean surfaces where drilling is not preferred. Two-hole construction can be considered where approved mechanical fixing is preferred.
Yes. Each tag can carry a unique QR code and visible excavator asset ID mapped from an approved Excel or CSV fleet list.
No generic guarantee is published. Those factors are specification and project-validation inputs for the selected construction, mounting and location.
Provide an overall machine photo and close-ups showing proposed surfaces, dimensions, joints, hoses, heat sources, impact zones and fluid paths.
